Why would I want to take this course?

While we hope you never have to use them, in this course you’ll learn primary assessment and basic stabilization techniques to use in a majority of emergency situations—whether you’re diving or not!

This course is a required prerequisite to completing your Rescue Diver course and is valid for 2 years. If you want to maintain any higher level diving certifications such as Rescue Diver, Divemaster, or even Instructor, you must stay up-to-date by renewing this course.

Whether taught by PADI, SSI, the Red Cross, or any other cetifying organization, this certification is valid for careers that may require a similar emergency response certification.
